Novel and special stoichiometry of Ba0.34 Sr0.34 Cd0.16 Zn0.16 Fe12O19 nanoparticles was successfully synthesized by self-assembly method. Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) was used as chelate agent during reflux procedure under alkaline conditions. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images revealed that the resultant ferrite has completely uniform morphology of particles in nanoscale with average diameter of 43 nm. Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) was used to analyze magnetic properties of sample. Crystalline structure of obtained ferrite is in good agreement with X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern. FT-IR spectroscopy was applied to characterize this compound. The electromagnetic wave reflection loss values of the Ba0.34 Sr0.34 Cd0.16 Zn0.16 ferrite sample are lower than -19 dB, suggesting that this composite is promising candidate as microwave absorbers at 8-12 GHz. |
