A novel cheap and simple amperometric phenol biosensor, based on the electrode modified with the Ni/Al layered double hydroxide (LDH), without Polyphenol oxidase (PPO), is presented. Ni/Al LDH prepared by coprecipitation and was used to modify a GC electrode. The Ni/Al LDH prepared was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, FT-IR and SEM . After the thermal process, the GC electrode modified with Ni/Al layered double hydroxide nanosheet film can be directly used as the working electrode of a nonenzymatic phenol sensor. The electrochemical response of the electrodes was characterized in solution . Cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique was employed. The LDH/GC electrode could be used for electrochemical nonenzymatic phenol concentration determination and exhibited many desirable properties such as high sensitivity, low detection limit, good reproducibility, long-term stability, fast current response, and low interference. |
