Abstract Carbon-supported Pd and PdCo alloy electrocatalysts of different Pd:Co atomic ratios(1:1, 2:1, 3:1 and 10:1) were prepared by the impregnation synthesis method at room temperature by ethylene glycol (EG) reduction. The prepared PdCo bimetallic nanoparticles show a single-phase face-centered-cubic (fcc) disordered structure. The performance of these electrocatalysts in the Oxygen Reduction Reaction (ORR) was evaluated with cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), inductive coupled plasma (ICP), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The best performance of synthesized catalysts was found for a Pd:Co with atomic ratio of 3:1. |
